These terms govern your use of the Decant mobile app. By using Decant, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction (at least 21 where required, such as the United States) and able to form a binding contract to use Decant.
Decant reads menus and wine lists from your photos and suggests wine pairings drawn from the wines on that list. Recommendations are generated by AI and are suggestions only — they may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgment, verify details with the restaurant, and please drink responsibly.
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
Decant offers a limited number of free pairings. Continued use beyond that requires a subscription, sold through Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play account; billing and refunds are subject to Google Play's terms.
A subscription includes a generous monthly fair-use limit on AI-generated pairings — currently 150 pairings per calendar month — to keep the service sustainable and prevent abuse. The limit resets at the start of each calendar month, and ordinary personal use will not reach it. We may adjust this limit over time.
Do not misuse the app, attempt to access it in unauthorized ways, abuse the AI processing, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
When you choose to buy a wine, we may link you to a third-party retailer (e.g. Vivino) and may earn a commission. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products, or services.
Decant is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Pairing recommendations are for general guidance and are not professional, medical, or dietary advice. Always check ingredients and allergens with the restaurant.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Decant.
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
